In 1925, Aldo Leopold posed the question, "For unnumbered centuries of human history the wilderness has given way. The priority of industry has become dogma. Are we as yet sufficiently enlightened to realize that we must now challenge that dogma, or do without our wilderness? Do we realize that industry, which has been our good servant, might make a poor master?"
Leopold's question still resonates today, over 90 years later, and Farms Not Factories is pleased to host a showing of "Green Fire" as an avenue to foster community discussion about local conservation concerns and issues in terms of our shared ethical values. Curt Meine, Leopold's biographer, will join us for the screening and a short presentation after the movie.
The event starts at 7 PM and there is a $10.00 suggested donation.
